Maracaturra is widely believed to be a naturally occurring hybrid of the Maragogype and Caturra varietals, originating in Central America. The plants produce the large beans associated with Maragogype while also displaying the compact growth habit of Caturra. This varietal tends to express a wide range of characteristics depending on where it is grown. At Finca Agua Sarca, rich soils and careful washed processing bring out impressively well-integrated and complex qualities.
